A Little Pause on Meowlloween – We’re Still With You

Hi Everyone,
John here. I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to take a moment to share an update about Meowlloween, and I’ll be honest—it’s not the news I was hoping to give you. We’ve hit a few bumps in the road that have slowed things down, and I know how much you’ve all been looking forward to this.
Originally, we faced a delay when our factory had to relocate to a new region. They were working hard to get ahead of some expected tariffs, and we thought we’d weathered that storm. But then, the newest tariffs came into play, and it’s put us in a bit of a waiting game. We’re now holding tight until some political negotiations shake out and the tariffs adjust.
I know this might be disappointing—I feel it too. We’re just as eager as you are to get Meowlloween into your hands, and we’re doing everything we can to make that happen as soon as possible. Thank you so much for sticking with us through this. Your patience and support mean the world to us, and we’re hopeful that things will clear up soon. We’ll keep you posted as we navigate what’s ahead—together.

Hello, lovely backers!
I’m checking in because I want you to be up to date on all things Meowlloween! I know our project delivery date is still a few months away, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t news—or questions to be asked!
🦇 First, The Latest News!
The Meowlloween Blankets have already completed production and arrived at our haunted warehouse, where the ghosties are patrolling to keep them safe. 👻 I popped one open, and they are GORGEOUS—so incredibly soft, simply to die for! I can’t wait to send them out in September. Hmm… Maybe a giveaway is in order? 👀
📖 A Story Idea is Brewing…
I had so much fun writing this Kickstarter that a new idea has been burning in the back of my mind. I’m currently deep in the Tentacle Kitty graphic novel series (which is going great, by the way!), but once I finalize Books 1 & 2, I want to write a Meowlloween book and pitch it to Scholastic!
There’s so much room for stories in this collection!
✨ How did the Nightshades meet the dragon?
✨ What really happens when you take a Wyrm-o’-Lantern trick-or-treating?
✨ And seriously—what spooky stories would Bast-o’-Lantern share if you bring her Pumpkin Spice Cotton Candy Mice?
We have so many Little Ones with untold pasts, flavors of candy yet to be discovered, and stories waiting for Nevermore and the Witchcore friends. I could go on and on.
So, tentacles crossed that Scholastic might want it! 🤞

Production Update: Chinese New Year!

Hi everyone!
As we ring in the Chinese New Year, our production team overseas is taking a well-deserved holiday to celebrate with their loved ones. We’re so excited for them to recharge and return with fresh energy to start production on the Meowlloween collection right after their break.
I can’t wait to see these spooky cuties come to life and share updates with you as we progress. Your incredible support continues to make this possible, and I’m so grateful to have you on this journey with us.

Time to Lock in Your Choices! Payments and Production Update!

Happy New Year, everyone!!
I hope your holidays were cozy and wonderful! I have some important news and exciting updates for you!
Taking Payments: I didn't want to charge cards during the gift-giving season because I know that can be a difficult time of year for extra expenses, but the time has come to move forward with the project. I plan to run cards this Sunday for any completed surveys.
Pressing the Green Button on Production: The time is finally here! I am so excited to announce we will be pushing "go" on production the following week after running cards, and I can't wait!
Little One Guests: There is still time to pick which Meowlloween Little One Guests you want. Please add any that you want to your reward package to ensure your reward is just right. After we press go on production, the Meowlloween Little Ones Guests will only be available through Mystery Bags. All other plushies will still be available as normal.
Addresses: If your address changes for any reason, you will be able to update it on your Backerkit survey at any time.
