Hey, everyone!

I have great news! Kickstarter has completed the back-end processes, and I’m now hard at work prepping the survey for you all!

I thought it might be fun to give you a peek behind the scenes of what happens after a Kickstarter ends and show you what I’ve been up to.

Step 1: Funds Collection
First, we wait for Kickstarter to collect the funds from all backers, which usually takes about 1 to 1.5 weeks. Then, there’s an additional wait for the banks to process the funds and for Kickstarter to take their portion. Typically, this process takes a couple of weeks, but this time it took a bit longer—18 days, the longest I’ve seen yet!

Step 2: Survey and Pre-Order Store Setup
Once the funds arrive, I roll up my sleeves and start building the survey and pre-order store in BackerKit. That’s where we are today!

This is an intensive process. Each item from the Kickstarter needs to be carefully reviewed and updated: I create pricing, SKUs, import information, dimensions, weights, images, shipping prices, and new descriptions for each item.

To give you an idea of the complexity, here’s how I handle the Mystery Bags in BackerKit:

• 16 individual Meowlloween Guest designs
• 16 variants for the “You Pick” Meowlloween Guest
• 1 completely random selection Meowlloween Guest
• 1 complete set of all designs

So, in total, just for the Mystery Bags, I have to build 35 individual items, each with its own SKU, name, weight, import/export info, size, shipping information (domestic and international), description, etc. 

And that's just the start!! We have a ton of really cute items to set up for this project (excited!)

Step 3: Reward Packages and Add-Ons
I carefully choose which items go into each reward package. With so many options, this part requires a lot of focus and attention to detail. I also set up all the add-ons and determine which items are available to backers during the add-on stage. Additionally, I organize the pre-order store for anyone joining us after the project ends, ensuring they have access to select items.

Step 4: Final Review
After everything is set up, I wait about a day, and then I review all the details with fresh eyes to ensure nothing is missed. 

This process takes a few days from start to finish because I want everything to be accurate and organized before I press “go.”

Well, well, my deliciously dark darlings! Hexebelle has done it again—overflowing Meowlloween Manor with candy galore and an avalanche of Cotton Candy Mice! Oh yes, you heard right, my ghoulishly good friends! Enough treats to feed Fluffy the dragon, our spirited party guests, and perhaps even tempt the bravest of spirits lingering in the shadows! 

As a frightfully fun twist, Cotton Candy Mice are now scurrying their way into your collection as a felt accessory pack for your little plush ghouls and goblins! So proceed with caution, my sweets, and watch out for those sneaky treats in the Add On Section!

Friday Night Frenzy!

Well, hello, my darklings! It’s the final Friday of Meowlloween, and our darling Hexebelle is racing against the clock to whip up her deliciously spooky treats for the Meowlloween Manor! Now that we’ve snagged that adorably devious candy thief—Fluffy, the candy dragon—let’s see what creepy concoctions she’s brewing up! And who knows… maybe this time, it’ll even bite back! 

Frightfully delightful! I sense a delicious doom in our future, my darklings! I simply cannot wait to devour every last morsel of whatever wicked little disaster is a-brewing! Hexebelle’s added everything but the Manor sink and I can already taste the chaos!

Rad Tailed Unicorn: The Prototype

Hi Everyone!

It's me, your hostesses hubby and all around artsy guy, John.

Hi.

I've been down in the dungeon for some time drawing comics for Meowlloween, and Rae has been so kind as to let me out for a little air!

I haven't shared the final version of the Rad Tailed Unicorn, until... Now.

Isn't it beautiful! Seriously misunderstood creatures Rad Tailed Unicorns are, though that one there is a nasty piece of work, it will most definitely eat all of your chocolate and poke holes in your pumpkins. 

Anyways, there it is. It's gorgeous, go get one, you need it.

Did I mention you can loop a tentacle thru it's mane and have your little ones ride it? Well it's super cute when you do. So do that.
