It’s Official: Toynk has received the Meowlloween plushies!

After all the waiting, freight updates, port adventures, and crossed paws, we can finally say it:

THE KITTIES MADE IT! 🎉

 
We are ridiculously excited to reach this milestone, and our prototypes have already started celebrating while they wait to meet their freshly-summoned production-run counterparts.

Meowlloween: a Quick Shipping Update (Departed!)

Hi Everyone,

Just wanting to keep everyone in the loop with all the information we get as we get it:

"Loaded up over the weekend and moving on the rail. Currently passing thru New Mexico with an ETA of 8/13. CUSTOMS CLEARED. Will get have an update Friday morning on ETA to TOYNK, Most likely Monday at the earliest, but let's get it up there first before giving it a solid delivery window."

So they are on their spooky path up to Chicago!! YAY!!!

Almost there everyone! Just a little longer but confirmed as of about 30 mins ago that we are back on TRACK... hah... cuz it's on a train... haha... yeah sorry... BUT YAY!

"The rail is now showing this is estimated to depart Los Angeles over the weekend 08/08.

I will advise an update for you Monday morning."

So we will hopefully have another update on Monday! 

A Full Shipping Update -- Train Shortage at the Port 🐈‍⬛🚂

Hello darklings, 

Today I have a less-than-optimal, but very important update about the shipment.

On July 27, our freight forwarder told us that the ocean freight was “on the way to Chicago, with ETA arrival of August 3rd.”

They provided the following details:

M.V. YM UTILITY / 102E
ETD Yantian: June 30, 2026
ETA Los Angeles, CA: July 23, 2026
ETA Chicago, IL: August 3, 2026

Based on that information, we expected the shipment to arrive in Chicago on Monday.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, we have been working closely with Toynk, our fulfillment company, to make sure everything is ready so orders can begin processing as soon as the shipment reaches their warehouse.

Neither we nor Toynk received an update letting us know that the shipment had been delayed. When it did not arrive as expected, we reached out to their freight forwarder for more information.

This morning they’ve responded.

They had not received an updated status from the terminal either, so they had to investigate further by checking the vessel’s location and shipping records. Through that process, they confirmed that the container had been unloaded from the ship on July 31 and is currently at the West Basin container yard in Los Angeles, waiting for rail transportation to Chicago.

The freight forwarder’s latest update was: “This container is still at the Los Angeles port pending rail departure. There is a rail car shortage at the port. Final delivered date to be determined.”

In other words, the shipment is in line for the next step of the journey from LA to Chicago by train.

We will continue following up closely and share another update as soon as the container is loaded onto the train or we receive a new delivery estimate.

We know this is disappointing, especially because we shared the August 3 estimate with you only a few days ago. We are frustrated and disappointed by this delay too. We’ve been on the edge of our seats waiting for the arrival.

So, what can we do here at Tentacle Kitty HQ besides keep pushing forward?

We are continuing to make sure everything is ready for immediate processing when it arrives.

We are working with Toynk to arrange for one of the first boxes to be sent to us once the shipment reaches their warehouse so we can unbox with you.

While we wait for it, we are going to get started setting up the scenery, lights, and other preparations to create a cute unboxing video as soon as it lands in our hands.  

We cannot wait to open it with you, show you everything in person, and finally replace these freight updates with the much happier kind of update we have all been waiting for.

 P.S. For those interested in the nitty-gritty details, an import professional shared some additional context with us today:

“LA port is one of the most congested ports in the US - they have frequent back ups under normal circumstances- there have been a lot of changes since July 1st with normal CBP tariff changes but it’s caused a lot of backend issues with CBP as they didn’t program correctly for it.

It’s likely a combination of freight sitting and not being cleared timely because of CPSC, tariff, etc. changes made recently.”

Sounds like a lot is going on at the port.

Hello, my darklings!

The products were estimated to arrive at the warehouse yesterday, but haven't made it yet. I've reached out to the freight forwarder and expect an update in the morning. Tentacles crossed they'll be arriving!

I will let you know what they say as soon as I hear from them.
